The story of AMMOUSA beer

AMMOUSA beer started in early 2016 with amateur brewing, in the basement of a house, by entrepreneur Georgios Danos. The goal from the very beginning was to combine two different arts, the art of beer and the art of food, and to create beers with a special taste and aroma, which complement or enhance your food. In this way, the consumer public will be able to understand that beer is not a soft drink and is not just a summer drink, that is, it is not just to quench your thirst, but on the contrary to give you generous flavors and aromas.

This is how AMMOUSA beer was created and has now found its way among the top restaurants in the country, where it accompanies top dishes of the Greek gastronomic scene.

In early 2019, AMMOUSA first label, the English IPA 5.5% with ginger, was launched on the market professionally. This beer has so far won 19 international awards, twice as product of the year by EXPOTROF and twice as one of the best in the world. AMMOUSA English IPA is now available in two S/M chains (Andrikopoulos & Sklavenitis) and in various selected wineries & stores (Nora's Deli, Periklis Winosophy, Morfonios, Gastrogonia, STELVIN cellar, etc.) in Patras, Athens, Thessaloniki, Halkidiki, Nafplio, Kalamata, Crete, Corfu, Mykonos, Poros, Andros, Kefallonia, Zakynthos and more.

In fact, it was also selected and placed in the Hilton Athens Hotel's 2019 list, in Spondi, in Merceri Restaurant and in several other high-end restaurants throughout Greece. Regarding its export activity, Ammousa English IPA has already reached Singapore & Hong Kong in collaboration with Mavrikos Imports, in Paris, London, Austria and Germany.

At the end of 2024, the 2nd label, Tropical Stout 7% with vanilla and coffee, was released on the market. It is the first Greek tropical stout beer. This particular label has already won 3 awards and the public's response has been excellent.

AMMOUSA's goal is to participate and be part of the evolution of Greek microbrewery that has been taking place in recent years.
